OPPORTUNITIES
KENNEL TECHNICIAN
General cleaning, feeding, and care of dogs in WMM care. Consistent set of eyes on the dogs. Line of communication with owners.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Cleaning of Dog areas; sweeping, mopping, cleaning up fecal matter, cleaning cages, handling trash, putting away deliveries, scrubbing/cleaning kennel, laundry, inventory

Walking dogs
-
Administering daily medications
-
Pickups and dropoffs on site and off site of dogs for boarding
Qualifications

Valid drivers license and access to vehicle
-
Willing to let dogs in your car

Large dog experience
-
Organizational skills
-
Attention to detail

Self-motivated

Ability to listen and take direction

Multitasker
-
Comfortable with cleaning
Physical and Mental Requirements

Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds

Abiltity to work in extreme weather (including heat and snow)

Climbing, walking, running

Capacity to stay calm and handle stressful and unpredictable situations
Standard Schedule, Hours, and Availability
Nights and Weekend Availability (5-8 pm)
Exemption Status

ASSISTANT TRAINER
Following training plans to teach dogs in our care skills to cope with life and adoption.
Duties and Responsibilities

Basic Cleaning and organization

Walking dogs
-
Training sessions with dog and owner both on and off the property

Following lesson plans
Qualifications

Valid drivers license and access to vehicle

Willing to let dogs in your car

Large dog experience

Educated in dog body language
-
Experience in clicker training
-
Competent in training basic obedience skills and leash walking

Organizational skills

Self-motivated
